The Nashville Lawn & Garden Show, produced by the Horticultural Association of Tennessee (HAT), has received national recognition. More than 22,000 people from throughout the Mid-South region attended the 2007 event. The 2008 show features a spectacular, one-acre garden exhibition area, the centerpiece of the show. Features will also include a floral design gallery with an international flavor. 250 exhibit booths of horticultural products, services and equipment for show and sale, and a free lecture series on a variety of horticulture and gardening topics.
Proceeds from the Nashville Lawn & Garden Show are used by HAT to fund horticultural projects. Since 1997, HAT has awarded more than $90,000 in grant money to organizations across Tennessee to help enhance and improve the state's horticultural environment and promote understanding of horticultural issues. The annual Lawn & Garden Show is the single source of funding for these grants.
