The Nashville Lawn & Garden Show, produced by the Horticultural Association of Tennessee (HAT), has received national recognition. More than 18,000 people from throughout the Mid-South region attended the 2011 event. The Annual Show features a spectacular one-acre garden exhibition area, the centerpiece of the show - as well as floral design gallery, and a free lecture series on a variety of horticulture and gardening topics. In 2011, vendors from 19 states featured horticultural products, services, and equipment for show and sale in over 250 exhibit booths.
HAT uses the proceeds from the Nashville Lawn & Garden to fund horticultural projects. Since 1997, HAT has awarded more than $100,000 in grant money to organizations across Tennessee. Proceeds from the 2012 Show will benefit The Cumberland River Compact, a non-profit educational and advocacy group focused on promoting a healthy natural and economic environment in the Cumberland River watershed.
